Adam and the Ants went
absolutely huge after this with massive hits over the following couple of
years. Kevin Mooney was dumped after his 'performance' in a Royal Variety
show left much to be desired. The Ants eventually imploded with Ant
becoming a solo artiste but with lesser success. His problems in the mid
2000s are well documented. Merrick was Chris Hughes in disguise who went
on to become a distinguished producer - Tears For Fears, Howard Jones etc.
