With the 40th anniversary of Friars in 2009, the website thought it might be an idea to honour those who are indelibly marked in the Friars fabric so to speak. True Friars Heroes, legends, hall of fame if you will.
During the course of 2009, we hope to honour up to twenty artists whose appearances are the stuff of legend and play a big part in the Friars story.
The inaugural recipients were Sailor who played five headlining concerts 1975-1976 and freely cite Friars as one of the reasons for their success. Their Heroes page can be seen below
