Why?
The Edgar Broughton Band goes back almost to the very beginning of
Friars and have played all three phases of Friars. It was wonderful to
hear Out Demons Out again in Aylesbury, a song which inspired certain
members of the local community to spray paint the slogan in the villages
back in 1970. The fiends! On stage, the webmaster noted: The Edgar
Broughton Band first played Friars in 1969 and are here again in
2009. Also they are one of the very few acts to have played all
three venues in Aylesbury. The Friars Heroes Award goes to the
Edgar Broughton Band
