Nick Beggs, writing for the Friars Aylesbury website in 2008 said: 'Playing Friars was always a buzz. My earliest gig there was with Art Nouveau (Kajagoogoo before Limahl). We opened for the Scars and John Cooper Clark. AMAZING.It was the first big stage I ever played on and couldn't believe how different it felt to a club gig'
Within months of this gig Limahl had been fired. The band continued with Beggs taking over vocals and hits kept coming. Limahl hit it big with Never Ending Story. After Strode left, they carried as Kaja but this ended in 1986. Nick Beggs has been a member of Howard Jones' band for some time. The remaining Kaja line in the 21st century were touring again as Kajagoogoo buoyed by the feature on VH-1's Bands Reunited which successfully reunited all five into playing a gig. Beggs said in this programme that in retrospect they should have fired their manager rather than Limahl. After a few false starts, the original five have reunited and will be playing gigs in 2008.
