Robert Fripp has kept the name alive and Crimson are expected to tour again in 2008 certainly with a line up including Tony Levin (see 1981 entry) Greg Lake achieved huge fame as one third of Emerson Lake and Palmer and is also responsible for one of the most distinctive Christmas records ever (I Believe in Father Christmas). Sinfield also worked with ELP and is still making music and poetry. Ian McDonald was a founder member of Foreigner and played also with Darryl Way's Wolf (who played Friars in 1973).

Also in July 1969, Crimson had the privilege of playing at the Rolling Stones free gig at Hyde Park.... to 650,000 people.

The name King Crimson was apparently coined by Pete Sinfield as a reference to the devil.

John Braley went to school with Greg Lake

In 1969 both Greg Lake and Carl Palmer played Friars (with King Crimson and Atomic Rooster)
