what happened next
The Rubinoos called it a day in 1985. After the release of two compilation albums, the band reunited in 1999 and are still going strong. Also settled out of court with Avril Lavigne over alleged similarities between their "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" and Lavigne's "Girlfriend"

The Smirks lasted till 1980 amidst legal disputes with Beserkley.
