And uncovered after 42 years, the quickly drawn poster explaining that High Tide were playing at short notice! (thanks David Stopps)




Heavy Jelly lost their bass player on the morning of the gig and were replaced at very short notice

 We were contacted by someone close to Tony Hills:  "Sadly, Tony has very few memories from the High Tide days and generally doesn't talk about it. He really only says that it was not a great period of time during the time HT were together and would rather forget about it than dredge up bad memories."

Steamhammer Mick Bradley died in 1972. Kieran White died in 1995. Martin Pugh has recently started the Steamhammer website and told us in 2009 that Steamhammer would be going again
