Bob Grover Dick Slexia Zoot
Alors Reginald Hornsbury Johnny Helmer
The webmaster, north Bucks:
"After the Bad Manners
debacle earlier in the years (one of the most shocking and unpleasant gigs
I had ever seen), this gig was a perfect Xmas tonic and right good fun.
This is easily one of my favourite gigs of all time. By this time, The
Piranhas had had a huge hit single with Tom Hark – a great summer tune but
completely unrepresentative of their work. Sadly a very under-rated band"
Not content with one novelty hit with 'Tom
Hark' a new version of the Piranhas charted in 1982 with 'Zambesi'
This did not reflect how good a band they were.
Bob Grover is gigging as at 2008 in a new
band called Dates. John Helmer went on to become Marillion's co-lyricist
with Steve Hogarth, post-Fish.
