what happened next
The Jam split in 1982 at the height of their success playing the biggest arena. Paul Weller has remained in the public eye for nearly 40 years. After the Jam he formed The Style Council and had much success with them. The Paul Weller Movement wasn't so successful but as a solo artiste he has again hit the heady heights and popularity shows no signs of abating. Bruce Foxton joined Stiff Little Fingers in 1991 and remained with them for 15 years. In 2007, the Jam reformed without Weller as From The Jam to favourable reviews. Weller closed Friars Phase Three in 2010 with a bang and was still having number one albums in 2012.
