The webmaster, north Bucks:

"I swear time stood still. Two catwalks and some amazing music - I can still hear Waterloo Sunset and Lola. It's a shame they didn't do Supersonic Rocketship ( a record I vividly remember buying in WH Smith's in Aylesbury in 1973). A cracking gig. I remember being interested in The Truth too - having seen Nine Below Zero earlier that year. They weren't too bad"

Ray and Dave Davies have been solo artistes for some time. Ray Davies recently stated that he would reform the Kinks but only if there was new material. Dave Davies has been recovering from ill health.

The Kinks gigs were the only times that TWO catwalks have been built into the Friars stage

David Stopps considers Waterloo Sunset the greatest pop record ever (speaking to us in 2007)
